Gen 1 has a factory 200-bar pump, which is plenty at stock power, but above about 450 HP it becomes a bottleneck: fuel pressure drops at full throttle, the ECU sees a lean condition and pulls timing. The TU engine got a stronger <strong>350-bar<\/strong> pump \u2014 and it is a direct swap into Gen 1.<\/p>\n<h3>What you get<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The original Bosch pump<\/strong>, as fitted by BMW to the B58 TU \u2014 with no compromise in quality<\/li>\n<li>Direct replacement (plug and play) \u2014 no adapters, no modifications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What you get<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Stable fuel pressure up to <strong>approx. 600 hp<\/strong> on petrol \u2014 enough headroom for a hybrid turbo<\/li>\n<li>End of the full-throttle lean condition that is the most common reason on Gen 1 above 450 HP for timing pull<\/li>\n<li>Predpogoj for Stage 3: without this pump the turbo will not deliver what you paid for<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Compatibility \u2014 B58 Gen 1 (B58B30M0)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>BMW M140i (F20\/F21), M240i (F22\/F23), 340i (F30\/F31\/F34), 440i (F32\/F33\/F36)<\/li>\n<li>BMW 540i (G30\/G31), 640i (G32), 740i (G11\/G12), X3\/X4 M40i (G01\/G02), Z4 M40i (G29) \u2014 model years up to mid-2019<\/li>\n<li>Toyota GR Supra 3.0 (2019\u20132020, pre-TU)<\/li>\n<li>Cars with the TU engine already have this pump \u2014 they do not need the upgrade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Important<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>After installation <strong>a calibration adjustment is required<\/strong>so the ECU can use the higher pressure.
