This reduces the limitations of the standard pump, including on more powerful turbocharger modifications.<\/p>\n<h3>Component construction<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The 9.8 mm diameter piston and cylinder are precision-ground several times during production, ensuring very accurate tolerances.<\/li>\n<li>Each piston and cylinder are matched to one another by matched grinding and marked with a serial number.<\/li>\n<li>The HPFP components have a plasma DLC coating to reduce friction losses and improve performance.<\/li>\n<li>Dedicated engine software calibration for the HPFP is available from tuners for the kit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> For the naturally aspirated 4.2L V8 FSI engines in the Audi B7 RS4, R8 V8 and B8 S5, 2 kits must be ordered because the kit is supplied individually.<\/p>\n<h3>Installation safety<\/h3>\n<p>Before dismantling the pump, the pressure in the fuel lines must be released. The lines are under very high pressure and can cause personal injury if depressurised incorrectly.
