Diverter and blow-off valves were originally developed specifically to eliminate these effects.<\/p>\n<p>GFB VTA reintroduces a blow-off valve into the 1.2\/1.4 TSI system, eliminating compressor surge and helping to protect the turbocharger. When the throttle closes, it also creates a distinctive air release sound.<\/p>\n<p>As these engines do not have a MAF sensor, there is no risk of drivability problems or incorrect fuel metering.<\/p>\n<p>The VTA is installed directly in the turbocharger boost pipes. A short plastic connector is replaced by a CNC-machined aluminium section onto which the VTA is fitted.
