It replaces the factory, flow-restricting components with a high-flow cold air intake design that supplies the engine with cooler, denser air from outside the engine bay. The result is more power, torque and improved throttle response, while the carbon fibre construction under the bonnet provides a distinctive appearance.<\/p>\n<p>The kit is one of the most effective direct-fit upgrades for the 3.0 TFSI platform. It complements an ECU remap particularly well, as the additional airflow allows better use of the software\u2019s potential.<\/p>\n<h4>TriFoam\u2122 filter technology<\/h4>\n<p>At the heart of the system is the Racingline TriFoam\u2122 filter, made from three-layer laminated open-cell polyurethane foam. It is hand-built in the United Kingdom. This foam filtration combines high airflow with effective retention of dust and contaminants, protecting the engine without unnecessarily restricting flow. Unlike disposable paper elements, the TriFoam\u2122 filter is washable and reusable, and designed to last the entire lifetime of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<h4>Faster turbocharger response and more power<\/h4>\n<p>Instead of completely removing the factory filter housing, Racingline retains its lower section and replaces the restrictive lid, filter and air intake with high-flow components. Installation is therefore straightforward, while the intake tract is significantly less restricted.<\/p>\n<p>Expected benefits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>more power and torque across the entire rev range,<\/li>\n<li>shorter boost build-up time, in some cases up to 500 rpm earlier,<\/li>\n<li>sharper throttle response and a more direct feel under acceleration,<\/li>\n<li>more pronounced induction sound under load, without intrusive noise in the cabin,<\/li>\n<li>greater effect when combined with a more advanced ECU remap.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Carbon fibre construction<\/h4>\n<p>The intake system cover and air intake are made from genuine carbon fibre, giving the engine bay a clean, race-inspired appearance. As the intake system is fully enclosed, it draws in cold air from outside the engine bay and protects the filter from hot air under the bonnet.
