The result is improved throttle response, smoother power delivery and a more pronounced intake sound.<\/p>\n<p>The standard intake system on these 1.4 TSI engines is a well-known bottleneck, especially after software optimisation or the installation of supporting modifications. The Racingline system uses a large-diameter, smooth-flow pipe that draws air from outside the engine bay. This helps reduce intake air temperatures and allows the engine to operate more efficiently.<\/p>\n<h4>TriFoam\u00ae filtration<\/h4>\n<p>At the heart of the system is the Racingline TriFoam\u00ae filter, made from a three-layer laminate of open-cell polyurethane foam. It uses the same type of filter medium as some Formula 1 engines, combining effective filtration with low airflow restriction. Each filter is handmade in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>The filter is fully washable and reusable.
