The Racingline high-flow turbo inlet pipe is the final component of the R600 intake system and is designed to remove the last major restriction in the intake path of EA888 Gen.3 1.8\/2.0 TSI engines. The factory plastic pipe narrows significantly just before the turbocharger, so the upgraded intake system can remain restricted at this point.<\/p>\n
The standard system uses a plastic pipe with a ribbed, bellows-style section that narrows into a small plastic inlet towards the turbocharger. This design is suitable for mass production and component packaging, but is not optimal for airflow. When fitting a high-flow intake system, this pipe can therefore become the main bottleneck.<\/p>\n
Racingline CNC-machines the pipe from a single piece of T6-6061 aerospace aluminium. The surface is finished in glossy Midnight Black anodising and features a laser-engraved logo. The internal diameter is increased from the standard 62.5 mm to 76 mm, giving the turbocharger a larger and smoother air inlet.<\/p>\n
An integrated velocity stack is formed inside the pipe to guide the air and help maintain airflow speed all the way to the compressor wheel. The result is sharper throttle response, faster boost build-up and reduced turbo lag during acceleration.<\/p>\n
If a Racingline R600 intake system is already fitted to the vehicle or its installation is planned, this pipe allows the complete system to deliver air more efficiently. Without it, the standard plastic intake pipe continues to restrict airflow to the turbocharger. It forms the final section of the intake path between the air filter and the turbocharger.<\/p>\n
When fitting this to a SEAT Ibiza 1.8 TFSI, Volkswagen Polo 1.8 TFSI or Audi S1 2.0 TFSI, an additional engine breather pipe (PCV) is required to complete the installation. The required part number is 06K 103 213A<\/strong>.
