This engine version uses a MAF sensor, so standard R600 kits are not suitable. The kit is adapted to provide improved airflow while maintaining correct operation of the factory air measurement system.<\/p>\n<p>The basis of the kit is the proven R600 intake system housing used by several models from VW, Audi, SEAT and \u0160koda. The large closed airbox draws cooler air from outside the engine bay and limits the intake of hot air from around the engine. Cooler air is denser, so it contains more oxygen for combustion and can improve throttle response and performance at higher revs.<\/p>\n<h4>Features of this version<\/h4>\n<p>The included high-flow Trifoam\u00ae filter has a custom-made 6061-T6 aluminium adapter attached to its underside. The filter therefore fits directly onto the original MAF sensor housing, without relocating the sensor or recalibrating it.
