The Racingline propshaft bearing alignment kit is a simple but effective solution to a common issue in vehicles with the MQB platform: the propshaft centre bearing can rotate out of alignment over time. The kit eliminates play in the factory mounting holes and ensures that the propshaft operates straight and stable, reducing wear on the bearing, bushes and rubber housing.<\/p>\n
The factory centre support bearing bracket is secured through oversized mounting holes. This makes rapid assembly on the production line easier, but it also allows the bracket to rotate by several degrees. Every hard launch and aggressive gear change causes movement in the drivetrain, so the bracket can gradually move out of its optimal position. The consequences are misalignment, vibrations and accelerated wear of the propshaft components.<\/p>\n
This precisely manufactured kit reduces the mounting hole size from M14 to M8, thereby centralising the centre bearing bracket and eliminating the possibility of unwanted movement. Once fitted, the propshaft remains correctly aligned.<\/p>\n
Development testing found that many vehicles were not correctly aligned from the factory. The kit is suitable for vehicles with increased power, frequent hard launches or preventative drivetrain protection during long-term use.<\/p>\n
The kit is intended for vehicles with the MQB platform, propshaft and centre support bearing. It fits selected 4MOTION and quattro models from Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, CUPRA and \u0160koda. It is suitable only for vehicles equipped with a propshaft and centre support bearing.<\/p>\n
