The brace strengthens the rear section of the chassis at one of its weaker points and provides more precise and confident handling without affecting comfort.<\/p>\n<h4>How it works<\/h4>\n<p>Vehicles on the modern MQB platform have a laser-welded body that is particularly rigid at the front, especially between the upper suspension mounting points. At the rear, chassis flex is noticeably greater. When tackling corners quickly or using stiffer aftermarket suspension, this can cause the geometry of the rear suspension to change, reducing the vehicle\u2019s responsiveness. For the same reason, Volkswagen fitted a factory rear brace to the limited-edition Golf Clubsport S.<\/p>\n<p>The Racingline rear body brace connects the rear suspension towers and important mounting points. This preserves the stability of the body, allowing the suspension to work precisely as it was designed to. Installation is fully reversible, allowing the vehicle to be returned to its standard condition later without difficulty.
