It replaces the restrictive factory hoses between the intake system and turbocharger with a noticeably larger system offering smoother airflow. The result is improved airflow, a more responsive turbocharger and the ability to make full use of an upgraded intake system.<\/p>\n<h4>Why the factory intake hose restricts airflow<\/h4>\n<p>From the factory, the air must first pass through a ribbed plastic hose in the form of a flexible connection, and then through a tight, narrowed plastic turbocharger elbow connector. Both parts are designed primarily with manufacturing costs and available space in mind, rather than performance, so they noticeably restrict airflow before it even reaches the turbocharger. Even when a high-flow intake system is fitted, this bottleneck limits the amount of air that can reach the engine.<\/p>\n<h4>What the Racingline kit changes<\/h4>\n<p>The kit replaces both restrictive parts in one step:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Turbo 90 inlet elbow<\/strong> \u2013 a thin-wall elbow with improved airflow, with the internal diameter increased from the factory 74 mm to 84 mm.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reinforced silicone turbo intake hose<\/strong> \u2013 a larger-diameter hose with a smooth internal surface replaces the ribbed plastic hose and provides noticeably better airflow and greater durability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Because both parts are upgraded together as a matched system, Racingline has been able to increase the diameter of the entire route between the intake system and turbocharger.
