They are suitable for larger turbo upgrades and higher boost pressures while maintaining engine reliability.<\/p>\n<h3>Rifle drilling<\/h3>\n<p>All CTS connecting rods are rifle drilled as standard. Factory connecting rod bearings are not drilled, but they can still be used. Drilled bearings are no longer available from the manufacturer.<\/p>\n<h3>Honing<\/h3>\n<p>The big-end and small-end connecting rod bearings are honed on precision equipment to very tight tolerances.<\/p>\n<h3>Quality control<\/h3>\n<p>All connecting rods undergo strict quality control, including measurement of all critical dimensions on a CMM coordinate measuring machine.
