It is made as a direct replacement for the factory downpipe and provides a sportier exhaust note while remaining free from unwanted droning when driven with the factory exhaust system.<\/p>\n<p>The downpipe was designed using modern CAD technology for precise fitment. It is made from T304 stainless steel, TIG-welded by hand and back-purged for long-term reliable operation.<\/p>\n<h3>Features<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>4.5\u2033 high-flow downpipe that tapers to 3.15\u2033 or 80 mm to fit the factory or sports exhaust system;<\/li>\n<li>replacement for the restrictive factory downpipe with a high-flow 200-cell catalytic converter;<\/li>\n<li>precisely designed and tested on the vehicle in real-world driving conditions;<\/li>\n<li>made from T304 stainless steel, TIG-welded and back-purged;<\/li>\n<li>improved exhaust gas flow and a sportier sound that remains subdued during relaxed driving;<\/li>\n<li>no unwanted droning with the factory exhaust system;<\/li>\n<li>suitable only for B58 engines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When fitting, we recommend replacing the downpipe gasket. The BMW factory gasket with part number 18328612538 is required and is not included.<\/p>\n<p>Stage 2 software is required to prevent the engine warning light from coming on.
