It is compatible with European and North American versions of the R55, R56 and R57 models.<\/p>\n<p>The factory air intake works together with the airbox to supply cold air to the intake system. The air then passes through a high-flow air filter with an inverted-cone design. The CNC mandrel-bent aluminium intake pipe ensures the smoothest possible airflow to the engine. The manufacturer states a power increase of 9\u201315 hp, more torque throughout the rev range and a more pronounced, race-inspired engine sound.<\/p>\n<p>The factory intake pipe is known to crack or fail completely due to its brittle plastic construction. This high-flow intake system replaces all factory parts and is designed for long-term reliable use.<\/p>\n<h3>Product details<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Mandrel-bent aluminium pipes with black powder coating<\/li>\n<li>Reusable air filter with an inverted-cone design<\/li>\n<li>Four-layer silicone connectors with stainless steel hose clamps<\/li>\n<li>Precisely fitting high-flow airbox, compatible with N14 and N18 engines<\/li>\n<li>MAF delete adapter for ROW vehicles without a MAF air mass flow meter<\/li>\n<li>Adapter for the PCV hose, not required on all vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Stated power increase of 9\u201315 hp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The kit is intended exclusively for second-generation vehicles with N16 and N18 engines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> The kit does not fit some 2013-onwards models that have a moulded PCV hose connection on the factory intake system.<\/p>\n<p>On N18 engines, the PCV heater connections must be removed. Resistors must be installed in the factory wiring harness to prevent fault code P053A.
