Lowering the ride height of MINI F55\/F56 models has a noticeable effect on their driving characteristics and improves overall performance. The vehicle becomes more agile, feels lighter and responds more quickly, particularly through sharper corners. This is a significant improvement over the factory setup.<\/p>\n

The lowering springs for MINI F55\/F56 feature carefully selected progressive spring rates, so they do not compromise ride comfort, especially at lower speeds. The ride can even be more pleasant at lower speeds. During fast cornering, however, the MINI\u2019s suspension comes alive: responsiveness and directness are improved, while turn-in becomes noticeably sharper.<\/p>\n

The springs also provide a visual improvement. They lower the front by approximately 30 mm and the rear by 25 mm, reducing the unattractive gaps between the wheel arches and wheels.<\/p>\n

We advise against excessive lowering or using stiffer springs than these, as a mismatch between the dampers and spring rates, together with limited spring travel, can cause an uncomfortable ride, bouncing and suspension bottoming out.<\/p>\n

Compatible with DCC:<\/strong> The springs are compatible with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) and work well with the system\u2019s various operating modes while retaining their driving characteristics.<\/p>\n
