It is recommended for vehicles where boost pressure has been increased through an ECU software upgrade, as well as for standard vehicles operating in warmer climates.<\/p>\n<p>The valve is designed to address common failures of the original rubber diaphragm, which can split and cause a loss of boost pressure. A failure does not always trigger the engine warning light, as the boost pressure may still open the valve, meaning the driver may not notice the loss of power.<\/p>\n<p>Forge Motorsport uses a piston design without a diaphragm that could fail, while the housing is made entirely from aluminium.
