It is recommended for vehicles with increased boost pressure due to ECU software upgrades, as well as unmodified vehicles operating in warmer climates, as it eliminates common failures of the original valve.<\/p>\n<p>A failure does not always trigger the engine warning light, as the valve can open due to boost pressure without this being detected. This can consequently lead to a loss of power because the diaphragm no longer seals correctly.<\/p>\n<p>Forge Motorsport has developed a more reliable solution with a piston valve without a diaphragm that could fail. The valve is made entirely from aluminium and replaces the original part.
