It has been tested in demanding conditions, including road racing and on the racetrack, and helps protect and extend the service life of surrounding engine components.<\/p>\n<p>During the first few heat cycles, the heat shield will lose some flexibility as the material hardens. Once fitted, do not remove it, as this may damage it.<\/p>\n<p>Exhaust gas heat remains contained on the hot side of the turbocharger and is transferred less to the cold side and intake tract.
