It is recommended for vehicles where boost pressure has been increased with an ECU software upgrade, as well as unmodified vehicles operating in a warmer climate, as it eliminates the issue of frequent original valve failures. A failure does not always trigger the engine warning light, as the valve may continue to open under boost pressure. This can lead to a loss of power without you being aware of it because the diaphragm no longer seals correctly.<\/p>\n<p>The Forge Motorsport solution is available in a vent-to-atmosphere version, which produces a distinctive sound when you lift off the throttle, or in a factory-style version without noise, which recirculates the air into the intake system.<\/p>\n<p>The Forge valve is designed as a more reliable solution. It is based on a piston mechanism, so it has no diaphragm that could fail, and it is made from solid aluminium.
