The finished product is a complete oil vapour collection system designed to capture as much harmful contamination as possible, including oil deposits, unburnt fuel vapours and moisture that would otherwise return to the engine\u2019s intake system.<\/p>\n<p>Extensive testing has shown that the kit effectively reduces the build-up of sludge and sooty deposits. The TSI engine in the Golf Mk6 can therefore breathe and operate more efficiently. The kit is particularly worthwhile for vehicles intended for further performance-enhancing modifications.<\/p>\n<p>The 0.4-litre (400 cm\u00b3) oil catch can allows for easy inspection and draining. It is equipped with a dipstick for checking the level and a suitably positioned drain tap.<\/p>\n<p>The inner hose is made from smooth, anti-static and fuel-resistant nitrile rubber. The outer protection is made from reinforced stainless steel wire braid\u2014with a partial inner braid and a complete outer protective braid. This construction provides resistance to pressure-induced stretching and vacuum-induced collapse, and allows operation in a temperature range from -54 \u00b0C to +150 \u00b0C (-65 \u00b0F to 300 \u00b0F).<\/p>\n<p>The kit also includes two oil-resistant hoses with stainless steel reinforcement and a black outer braid.
