It is designed as a direct replacement for the original air filter cover and is fitted to the original air filter housing using clips.<\/p>\n<p>The open upper design and side slots increase airflow. The system is designed not to draw hot air from the engine bay, allowing the engine to \u201cbreathe\u201d more easily. The larger surface area of the high-quality Pipercross filter further contributes to airflow.<\/p>\n<p>During development, improvements were detected on vehicles with modified software, while on standard vehicles the system, according to the manufacturer, does not cause any deterioration in performance. Improved airflow can contribute to better throttle response, increased performance and a more pronounced engine sound.<\/p>\n<p>Rolling-road tests on a vehicle fitted with a tuning box showed up to 12.5 hp of extra power and 20 Nm of additional torque. The greatest stated improvement is 23 hp at 3700 rpm and 44 Nm at 3600 rpm, mainly in the mid-range.<\/p>\n<p>The kit includes all parts required for installation, which according to the manufacturer takes approximately 30 minutes, as well as colour fitting instructions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> The system is not suitable for the T6 Bi-Turbo with a 90 mm diameter mass air flow sensor (MAF).
