The actuator is supplied as standard with a green-marked spring. For the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, Type 2, 049 diaphragm design must be selected.<\/p>\n<p>Fitting a Forge actuator allows you to adjust and control the required boost pressure more precisely, resulting in improved response and control. The product is assembled with a preselected spring suitable for standard boost pressure or slightly higher pressure. For modified vehicles and higher boost pressure, a stronger spring can be fitted on request.<\/p>\n<p>The standard internal design uses a sealed diaphragm, while a piston design is also available. The piston internals provide comparable operation and require less maintenance thanks to the durable piston valve design.<\/p>\n<p>The actuator is intended to increase the output boost pressure of the turbocharger system, but the final setting depends on the capability of the standard or replacement engine management system. When selecting a spring, note that the stated pressures apply to the mechanical component and are directly comparable mainly on older turbocharged engines without ECU\/solenoid valve control. On modern engines with ECU\/solenoid valve control, the target boost pressure does not necessarily correspond directly to the spring\u2019s mechanical rated value.
