It is used for more precise adjustment and control of turbocharger boost pressure.<\/p>\n<p>Forge Motorsport has developed a two-piece replacement actuator made from 6026 aluminium. The design is tailored to the specific vehicle and turbocharger and allows the spring to be selected according to the vehicle\u2019s requirements. A diaphragm design is fitted as standard, while a piston-sealed version is also available.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spring selection according to the vehicle and setup<\/li>\n<li>Manufactured from 6026-grade aluminium<\/li>\n<li>Design specific to the vehicle and turbocharger<\/li>\n<li>Choice of diaphragm or piston operation for most actuators<\/li>\n<li>Fluorosilicone diaphragms reinforced with Nomex material<\/li>\n<li>Laser-cut stainless steel brackets where required<\/li>\n<li>Adjustment and service kits are available<\/li>\n<li>Machining and hand polishing in the United Kingdom<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Spring adjustment<\/h3>\n<p>The stated spring pressure values represent the minimum regulated values. The actuator is equipped as standard with a spring with a green marking. For the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, Type 2, 049 diaphragm design must be selected.<\/p>\n<p>The actuator allows more precise adjustment of the required boost pressure, which can improve response and control. The standard spring is suitable for factory or slightly higher boost pressure levels. A stronger spring can be used for vehicles with higher settings.<\/p>\n<p>On older turbocharged engines without ECU or solenoid valve control, the spring value must be treated as a mechanical setting. On modern engines with ECU or solenoid valve control, the mechanical spring value does not necessarily correspond directly to the target boost pressure.
