Forge Motorsport has developed a two-piece replacement turbocharger actuator made from machined aluminium. This version is intended for the Mitsubishi Colt CZT, while the Forge Motorsport actuator range also includes applications for other specific turbo systems.<\/p>\n
Installing a Forge Motorsport actuator allows more precise adjustment and control of the required boost pressure, which can improve response and control. A spring suitable for factory boost pressure or slightly higher values is fitted as standard. A stronger spring can be used for modified vehicles on request.<\/p>\n
Diaphragm-sealed internals are the default specification, while piston-sealed internals are also available. The piston version offers comparable performance and less maintenance thanks to the more durable design of its sealed internals.<\/p>\n
The actuator is intended to increase or better regulate the boost pressure of the turbocharger system. Actual compatibility and achievable boost pressure depend on the engine management system settings, regardless of whether the system is factory or upgraded.<\/p>\n
The actuator comes with a standard spring as standard. To use the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, the Diaphragm Type 2, 049<\/strong> option must be selected.<\/p>\n All actuator rods are made from 303-grade stainless steel.<\/p>\n The listed spring pressures according to the colour markings apply to the mechanical part of the system and are particularly relevant to older turbocharged engines without regulation via the ECU or a solenoid valve.<\/p>\n On modern engines with regulation via the ECU or a solenoid valve, the target boost pressure is not necessarily the same as the mechanical spring specification.
