It enables more precise adjustment and control of boost pressure, which can improve turbocharger response and control.<\/p>\n<p>The actuator is made from 6026-grade aluminium. It is supplied as standard with a spring for standard boost pressure, and is also available with a stronger spring for modified vehicles and higher boost pressure. The spring must be selected to suit the specific vehicle, turbocharger and intended level of modification.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spring selection according to the vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Manufactured from 6026-grade aluminium<\/li>\n<li>Vehicle- and turbocharger-specific design<\/li>\n<li>Machined and hand-polished<\/li>\n<li>Piston or diaphragm operation available for most actuators<\/li>\n<li>Fluorosilicone diaphragms reinforced with Nomex material<\/li>\n<li>Laser-cut stainless steel brackets where required<\/li>\n<li>Actuator rods made from 303-grade stainless steel<\/li>\n<li>Diaphragm-sealed internals are standard; piston sealing is also available, requiring less maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Made in England<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The kit includes a standard spring. To use the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, the Type 2, 049 diaphragm version must be selected.<\/p>\n<p>The stated spring pressures are the minimum regulated pressures. For the version with T2 springs, this refers to the FMAS049 range. On older turbo engines without regulation via the ECU or solenoid valve, the stated pressure refers to the mechanical operating part of the spring.<\/p>\n<p>On modern engines with regulation via the ECU or solenoid valve, the mechanical spring pressure does not necessarily correspond to the target boost pressure.
