An actuator version with a stainless steel housing, external parts and mounting hardware is also available. This version is intended to provide greater corrosion resistance, including in demanding environments.<\/p>\n
The factory version has a sealed diaphragm interior, while a piston-sealed interior is also available.<\/strong> The piston version provides performance equivalent to the diaphragm version and requires less maintenance due to the durable construction of the piston seal.<\/p>\n The actuator is supplied as standard with a blue-marked spring. To use the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, the piston version must be selected.<\/p>\n All actuator rods are made from 303-grade stainless steel.<\/p>\n The stated spring pressure for each colour marking applies only to the mechanical part and is mainly relevant to older turbocharged engines where boost pressure is not controlled by the ECU or a solenoid valve.<\/p>\n On modern engines controlled by the ECU or a solenoid valve, the target boost pressure is not necessarily the same as the spring\u2019s mechanical specification.
