When cornering, up to three times more force can be transferred to one side of the vehicle than the other, causing increased chassis twisting and deformation. This can result in a loss of tyre grip.<\/p>\n<p>Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
