This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.<\/p>\n<p>When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. The result is significant chassis flex, or deformation and torsion of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.<\/p>\n<p>Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
