When cornering quickly, braking hard or accelerating, the transfer of mass affects the bodywork and can cause the chassis to twist and bend.<\/p>\n<p>When driving through a corner, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than the load on the other side. This causes greater body flex and consequently reduces tyre grip.<\/p>\n<p>Chassis twisting and deformation can negatively affect vehicle handling and cause understeer or oversteer.
