During fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, the chassis is subjected to high loads caused by the transfer of body mass.<\/p>\n<p>When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can lead to chassis twisting and deformation, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.<\/p>\n<p>Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
