This is particularly evident when the body\u2019s weight is transferred during fast cornering, hard braking or acceleration.<\/p>\n<p>When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in chassis twisting or deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.<\/p>\n<p>Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
