This is especially true due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.<\/p>\n<p>When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes considerable chassis flexing or deformation and torsion of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.<\/p>\n<p>Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.<\/p>\n<p>The brace is designed to reduce chassis flexing and improve body rigidity.
