During fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, the body is subjected to significant loads due to the transfer of the vehicle\u2019s weight.<\/p>\n<p>When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more load than the other. This results in greater deformation and body twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.<\/p>\n<p>Body twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
