This is particularly evident when the body\u2019s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.<\/p>\n<p>When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, as well as body deformation and torsion, causing the tyres to lose grip.<\/p>\n<p>Chassis deformation and flex when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
