During fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration, the chassis is subjected to stress caused by the transfer of the body\u2019s weight.<\/p>\n<p>When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This leads to greater chassis flexing and twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.<\/p>\n<p>Chassis twisting while cornering can negatively affect vehicle handling, including by causing understeer or oversteer.
