During fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, the body is subjected to loads caused by vehicle weight transfer.<\/p>\n<p>When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes the body to flex and twist, which can result in the tyres losing grip.<\/p>\n<p>Flexing and twisting of the chassis while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
