When cornering quickly, braking hard or accelerating suddenly, the vehicle\u2019s mass transfer affects the body.<\/p>\n<p>In certain situations, mass transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to experience up to three times more load than the other. This causes the body to bend, deform and twist, which can result in the tyres losing grip.<\/p>\n<p>Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
