This is particularly evident when the vehicle\u2019s mass is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.<\/p>\n<p>When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in significant deformation and flexing of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.<\/p>\n<p>Deformation and flexing of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
