These are mainly caused by the transfer of bodywork weight.<\/p>\n<p>When cornering quickly, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than the load on the other side. This can cause the chassis to twist and the bodywork to deform, resulting in the tyres losing grip.<\/p>\n<p>Chassis twisting while cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
