They often work loose, particularly after being removed once. If loose bolts are not detected immediately, the worst-case result can be catalytic converter damage, which can quickly lead to major engine failure.<\/p>\n<p>The extra-strong, heat-resistant HD bolts feature an additional mechanical locking mechanism, making it impossible for them to work loose during operation.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend using these bolts in combination with our upgraded gaskets:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Flange gasket for Focus, 76 mm, 3-inch exhaust systems\/downpipes (part no.
