This two-piece Bull-X stainless steel downpipe includes a 200-cell sports catalytic converter for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.<\/p>\n<p>The downpipe\u2019s greater flow capacity provides increased power, improved throttle response, lower exhaust gas temperatures and a sportier exhaust note. It is suitable for both standard and tuned vehicles. Fitting the downpipe can additionally deliver increased performance, improved response and reduced exhaust gas temperatures.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Suitable for Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG 4.0T from 2015<\/li>\n<li>Includes a 200-cell metal-substrate sports catalytic converter<\/li>\n<li>Performance-enhancing<\/li>\n<li>Material: stainless steel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Road use:<\/strong> This 200-cell catalytic converter version is intended for track use unless an HJS catalytic converter with EG approval is selected. For public-road use, only a combination with the appropriate EG-approved HJS catalytic converter is permitted; all other versions are intended exclusively for racing use.<\/p>\n<h3>Catalytic converter information<\/h3>\n<p>When selecting a downpipe without a catalytic converter or with a 100\/200-cell catalytic converter, the ECU may display a fault from the post-cat lambda sensor. This does not affect vehicle operation, as the first lambda sensor remains in place for engine management. The post-cat sensor only monitors catalytic converter efficiency. The fault can be removed by having the software adjusted by a tuning specialist.<\/p>\n<p>Most vehicles up to the Euro 3 emissions standard do not have a post-cat lambda sensor, allowing installation without further adjustment or a fault message. HJS ECE and EOBD catalytic converters have a considerably higher washcoat content and very high oxygen-storage capacity, which can prevent fault messages. EOBD catalytic converters have been tested for this purpose up to Euro 4.
