It provides improved response during gear changes and more power. The rigid aluminium pipe prevents the power-sapping collapse of the original intake hose, making it particularly recommended for tuned VR6 engines.<\/p>\n<p>The intake pipe is deliberately longer to provide flexibility in use:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>with optional silicone hoses and fitting materials, it can be adapted to the standard air filter housing; the pipe must be shortened for this,<\/li>\n<li>with optional silicone hoses and fitting materials, together with an air filter, the pipe does not need to be shortened.
