With this system, the pressure is diverted directly upstream of the throttle body. As the valve is positioned downstream of the intercooler, only cooled air is recirculated.<\/p>\n<p>On many engines, the standard diverter valve is positioned upstream of the intercooler, meaning that hot, uncooled air is recirculated.
