If the reservoir is fitted on the passenger side, select the additional bracket with the vehicle-specific fitting hardware. This optional bracket is intended for the Golf 7R\/Clubsport and all Cupra Euro 6 models with a manual gearbox.<\/p>\n<p><strong>System benefit:<\/strong> Back pressure is redirected directly upstream of the throttle. As the valve in this system is positioned downstream of the intercooler, only cooled air is recirculated. On many engines, the standard diverter valve is positioned upstream of the intercooler, meaning that only hot, uncooled air is recirculated.<\/p>\n<p>The original valve is fitted directly in the turbocharger. During changes in load, it returns excess boost pressure to the intake system to help prevent turbocharger damage, as closing the throttle and the resulting back pressure would slow the turbocharger down. Over time, continuous exposure to heat commonly affects the valve to the point where it begins to leak.<\/p>\n<p>A leaking valve leads to poorer response and power loss, which is not usually noticed immediately because the fault develops gradually. The driver therefore unconsciously becomes accustomed to increasingly sluggish response and reduced power. In addition, hot charge air is continuously recirculated.<\/p>\n<p>This conversion kit allows the valve to be relocated to a cooler part of the system, providing the following benefits:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Improved response because pressure is redirected immediately upstream of the throttle.<\/li>\n<li>Instead of hot, uncooled charge air, only cool air is returned to the system. The turbocharger therefore has to deliver less air.<\/li>\n<li>Because of the relocation, the valve is no longer exposed to the high thermal load caused by installation in the turbocharger.<\/li>\n<li>The cooler the intake air, the higher its density; higher density improves cylinder filling.
