The Performance Clutches Stage 1 Street HD clutch kit with a single-mass flywheel (SMF)<\/strong> is intended for drivers of Ford Focus ST and RS<\/strong> models who need greater torque-transfer capacity, durability and the benefits of converting to a lightweight single-mass flywheel.<\/p>\n

The centrepiece of the kit is a lightweight single-mass flywheel weighing 9.2 kg<\/strong>, made from forged 4140 steel<\/strong> with an integrated ring gear<\/strong>. The forged design provides high mechanical strength and heat resistance while significantly reducing rotating mass. The engine\u2019s lower moment of inertia allows the revs to rise and fall faster, resulting in sharper throttle response and quicker, more precise gear changes.<\/p>\n

The cover assembly features a QT450 steel pressure plate<\/strong>, selected for its good temperature stability and resistance to deformation during prolonged operation at high temperatures.<\/p>\n
