Forge Motorsport induction kit – for Hyundai i30 N (PD, 2017–, also facelift) and Veloster N

The factory airbox on the i30 N is made for quietness, not for flow. Forge Motorsport replaces it with an open intake that routes air to the turbo by the shortest path: through a 102 mm aluminium pipe, CNC-bent with no restrictions, and a large Pipercross foam filter. The diameters are set so the engine gets exactly the air it needs – a consistent power gain across the whole rev range without losing low-end torque. A bonus you’ll hear first: a pronounced turbo induction note under acceleration.

Foam or cotton filter?

The foam one (Pipercross) is Forge’s standard choice: multi-layer oil-free foam that catches even fine dust and does not give up in rain or high humidity; it washes with water and a mild cleaner. The cotton one is the classic oiled filter with slightly higher flow and a more open induction sound; it has to be re-oiled after every wash. For everyday driving we recommend the foam one, for the track it makes no difference – both flow far more than the factory airbox.
