RacingLine R600 Cold Air Intake is the best-selling and most technically advanced system for cold air intake for VAG MQB platform cars with 2.0 TSI and 1.8 TSI engines (EA888 Gen.3 and Gen.4 “EVO”). It combines OEM-standard build and fit with a noticeable increase in airflow, giving more power on tuned cars, faster response and a richer induction sound.

Trifoam or Cotton filter?
Both filters are handmade in the UK, twice the size of the factory ones and sized for 600+ hp. They differ in character:
- Trifoam® (foam) “faster, for longer”. Three-layer foam (coarse / medium / fine) has the highest airflow of any filter type and the greatest capacity for dust, so it keeps its power even as the filter gets dirty. Like any high-performance part it needs maintenance: cleaning and re-oiling every ~16.000 km (RacingLine Filter Maintenance Kit).
- Cotton (pleated cotton) “fit and forget”. Extremely robust, long-lasting and maintenance-free, with excellent flow when new and a large, attractive look. It has a smaller capacity for dust than foam, so flow drops faster as it gets dirty. An optional foam Oversock (VWR12G7R600OS, not included) can protect it.

- Dual front air intake across the full width of the car, optimised with CFD simulation (the same software as in F1) – drawing genuinely cold air from in front of the car.
- Polyurethane (PU) airbox, designed in the UK in an OEM material with excellent thermal insulation – keeping intake air temperature low.
- OEM+ installation uses all factory mounting points, no cutting or modification; retains the connection for the factory breather pipe and SAI.
- Sized for 600+ hp suitable for stock cars and Stage 1–3 projects.
- Richer induction sound at full throttle, discreet when cruising.

Recommended additions
For maximum effect RacingLine recommends combining it with the Turbo Inlet system (Turbo Inlet Pipe / Turbo Inlet Elbow), Turbo Muffler Delete and R600 Coolant Underhose (relocates the coolant hose under the airbox). With the Trifoam filter system we also recommend the Filter Maintenance Kit (oil + cleaner).
