ACL Race main bearings for BMW S65

ACL Race Series main bearings for BMW S65 are trimetal engine bearings designed for demanding operating conditions and higher engine speeds.

The set is available in multiple clearance options, including a version with 0.025 mm extra clearance, as well as standard and undersize dimensions for performance crankshafts.

• High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
• Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
• Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and grip in the housing
• Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high rpm and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films
• 3/4 grooved main bearings to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
