ACL Race main bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for operation at higher RPM. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering improves bearing lining support and bearing retention in the housing.
The set provides 0.025mm extra clearance, increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM, and improved oil flow to the conrod bearings.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties.
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing.
- Elimination of flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip in the housing.
- Increased eccentricity to assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
- 3/4-grooved main bearings to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow.

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
