ACL Race main bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed to withstand higher RPM conditions. Their combination of design, metallurgy and engineering is developed for the demands of high-performance engines.
The reduced thickness of the high-strength overlay improves fatigue properties, while increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion and assists in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- No flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer
- 3/4 grooved main bearings to optimize load-carrying surface area and oil flow
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances
- Enlarged ID chamfers on bearing edges for large fillet radii on performance crankshafts

Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
