ACL Race trimetal main bearings combine design, metallurgy and engineering for demanding operating conditions at higher RPM.
Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming hydrodynamic oil films. Tight, consistent wall tolerances help maintain consistent clearances.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Increased crush for improved bearing retention in the housing
- Flash plating eliminated on the back for improved heat transfer and greater grip in the housing
- 3/4-grooved main bearings to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings
- Enlarged internal chamfers on bearing edges to accommodate large fillet radii on performance crankshafts

Engines: FB20, FB25, FA20, FB16, FA24, 4U-GSE (FA24F, FA20D, FA20C, FA24D, FB20, FB25, FA20, FA20F, FB16, FA20E, 4U-GSE). Please check your vehicle’s engine code (registration document or VIN) before ordering; if in doubt, contact us and we will check for you.
Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
